John Addicott is the local Community Links Officer for Twickenham, Strawberry Hill, and Whitton and Heathfield. Community Links help promote community involvement by keeping local communities informed about what the Council is doing, by building a better understanding of what community activity is already happening, helping identify and promote opportunities for local people to get involved and helping local people and groups find the support they need to take part. If you have an idea that you would like to take forward for your area, get in contact with John on:

"Twickerati is the premier hyperlocal website for Twickenham. Probably. It contains news, ill-informed opinion, comment and lame humour for all those people stuck under the flight path and sandwiched between the A316 and the river. Discover what's going on, fret about the excessive choice of cafes and comment on the future of good ol' Twickenham town. Do it and do it now."

  • A: Twickenham Police have asked us to notify local residents of the new National Non-Emergency number for non-urgent issues.

That number is: 101    (NB calls cost 15p per call from landlines and mobiles, no matter what time of day or how long the call)

The police say people should always dial 999 in a genuine emergency - when a crime is taking place, when a suspect is nearby or someone is injured, being threatened or in danger.
